Interface Design & Build

We will work with you to design the perfect interface for your kiosk. This process is broken down into several steps to ensure your complete satisfaction:

  1. Initial Meeting:
We will hold an initial meeting with you at your premises to review your requirements, identify your house style, build the basic information structure and gather some feedback for the draft design. At this stage we shall also set you a list of tasks including gathering content, images and copyright forms

  2. Draft Design Process:
We will produce draft designs for you that meet the criteria and offer alternative proposals for you to discuss. We will then chat with you over the phone and by email and agree the best design (perhaps with elements taken from the other drafts)

  3. Draft System Build:
We will then take the agreed design and build a working system with internal links. The purpose of this system is to provide you with the facility to further comment and edit the work as it progresses to the final draft

  4. Final Draft:
We will complete the final system for your comment, including linking to external websites. Small editorial changes can be made at this stage

  5. Publishing:
The interface will be passed to our Kiosk Build Team who will embed the interface within the software and further quality test to ensure it works correctly

  6. Support:
We will provide constant support over the first 12 months with small editorial changes being offered free of charge (large scale design may require additional quotes)

  7. Review:
After 12 months we will meet with you to ensure that the interface is still meeting your requirements and if required, perhaps design a program for its further development This system is based upon our experience in developing over 100 separate interfaces and will ensure that you receive the best possible product.
Kiosk Interface Build:

Our basic kiosk interface build services are listed below. For further details or a custom quote please get in touch with Jonathan Baxter on 0845 643 9969.

  • Inclusive Interface:
This interface is included free of charge with our kiosks, it provides just single touch access with a system of no more than 3 pages interlinked from a portal page. To also include 3 screensavers. The package includes telephone contact only with the client to review requirements during the build phase. Inclusive with kiosk

  • Extended Interface:
A touch interface with up to 12 pages interlinked from a portal page. Can include integration of news feeds if required. To also include up to 8 screensavers. Includes half a day onsite to review client requirements. £350

  • Web Interface:
In essence a combination of touch screen portal system and website. The purpose is to provide an interface or portal system which can work on both the kiosk and be accessible via web browsers. This increases the potential audience to the information. The system will have its own domain name, be linked into the search engines. It would hold up to 25 pages interlinked and be driven by CMS. Includes a days onsite to review requirements. £550

  • Offline Portal:
This is designed for those kiosks which are not online and run off a memory stick. We have done this for several clients and would be a download of several websites and the creation of an interface page over the top. Saved onto memory stick for ease of exchange. £400

  • Intranet Interface:
A custom built touch screen interface that is designed to link into precise areas and applications within the clients intranet. Includes three full days onsite to review requirements. £950

The pricing applies to a single interface with the agreement that the content but not the technology belongs to the client. If variants of the interface are required per kiosk/venue in a network then a separate fee of £25-£100 should be made per kiosk.
